Job Responsibilities
Describe the job role and the day to day tasks involved. |
- Compile tender estimates emailed to them from project director
- Complete take offs for retaining walls
- Lineal meter take off
- Wall height take off
- l/m take off on post hole depths
- Posts take off (inc. steel type and lengths
- Estimate concrete volume in pier holes
- Concrete sleeper take off
- Complete detailed mark ups showing how estimate was measured (via PDF or hand written)
- Draft up tender letter for director review
- Complete material order forms
- Use excel template to compile detailed bill of quantities for ordering (inc. steel and sleepers)
- Auto CAD – once detailed BOQ is complete, elevate the walls on project showing all the below items for the project teams to build from:
- Pile number
- Top of wall (TOW) RL
- Bottom of wall (BOW) RL
- Embedment depth for pile
- Spacing between piles (to centers nominated by engineers)
- Draw in the rows of sleepers determined by wall height.

Qualifications

- Tertiary qualification preferred
- Fluent in English via verbal and written
- Can use the below software programs:
- Microsoft office (inc excel, word, project)
- PDF editor (Revu or similar)
- Auto CAD (or similar drafting software)

- Hard working
- High attention to detail.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment (many moving parts and numerous projects on the go).
- Competent in communication with head office staff (via email, phone call, messaging services).

Prior Experience
Describe the prior working experience a candidate should have. |
- Experience in the construction / civil industry is a must
- Can complete all items listed above

Performance Measurement

- Correct estimations
- Correct drafting of walls
- Keeping up to date with tender list, tender management and reporting back to Construction Director daily with status of tenders and what is due next.

Working Hours

- Expected to work 40 hours a week or hours required to meet requirements of the business
