Lead R&D - Fabrics & Yarns

Requirements:

• Education: M.Sc. (Textile) / MS (Advance Materials)
• Experience: 8 to 10 years of relevant experience.
• Skills: Yarns Manufacturing techniques, Fabrics manufacturing and processing techniques, Knowledge of Textile Raw Materials (Conventional and Technical), Understanding of technical textiles, Yarns and Fabric testing standards and textile quality control.

Responsibilities:

• To lead and coordinate all aspects of new product development from request receiving to product launch.
• To monitor product validation process after approval on prototypes and ensure product to be ready to launch.
• To carry out research on market trends and develop differentiated products to meet the changing customer needs.
• Supervise developments of new yarns in ring and open-end spinning.
• Supervise fabric developments of both woven and knitted (In-house and Outsource).
• To coordinate with suppliers for development of new materials for better cost savings and new features in the product and processes.
• To coordinate cross functional efforts to develop strategic vision of new product development to create comprehensive product portfolio.
• To work with research institutes and Universities for long term projects to get strategic insight for future trends and needs to prioritize and monitor project executions as per customer requests and business need to focus on high impact and high value opportunities/outcomes
