Requirements:
Qualification:
-BBA/BS in Accounting or Finance.
-MBA in Finance preferred.
Experience:
- 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in taxation and regulatory compliance.
Technical Expertise:
-Comprehensive knowledge of taxation laws, corporate tax compliance, sales tax regulations and financial reporting frameworks with proficiency in MS Excel and SAP.
Responsibilities:
-Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns including Income Tax and Sales Tax in compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
-Ensure timely submission of withholding tax statements and compliance with withholding tax obligations under the Income Tax Ordinance.
-Maintain proper documentation and records for taxation matters, audits, assessments, and regulatory reviews.
-Handle sales tax matters related to goods, including zero-rated, exempt, and export-related supplies.
-Prepare, process, and follow up on sales tax refund claims while coordinating with relevant authorities for timely resolution.
-Liaise with tax authorities, consultants, and auditors regarding tax audits, notices, assessments, refunds, and compliance matters.
-Calculate corporate tax provisions, deferred taxation, advance tax liabilities, and related adjustments.
-Draft responses to notices issued by FBR and represent the company before taxation authorities when required.
-Assist in tax planning initiatives to optimize tax positions while ensuring compliance within legal and regulatory frameworks.
-Keep management updated on changes in taxation laws, regulations, and their potential business impact.
-Provide taxation advice on business transactions, agreements, contracts, and investment-related matters.
-Work with ERP systems including SAP systems for taxation reporting and compliance monitoring.
-Ensure accurate tax coding, reconciliations, and compliance in financial and operational transactions.
