About the job Manager Production - Knitting & Stitching
Requirements:
Qualification:BE/ME in Industrial & Manufacturing, Textile. MBA in Supply Chain Management preferred.
Experience: 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in textile production management, preferably within export-oriented manufacturing environments.
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of cut-to-pack operations, textile and knitting processes, SAP systems, with well-developed financial insight and commercial acumen.
Responsibilities:
-Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules in line with order volumes and delivery commitments.
-Oversee fabric knitting, cut-to-stitch, and packing operations to ensure timely completion at each stage.
-Monitor process parameters to maintain quality consistency throughout production.
-Identify process bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance efficiency.
-Ensure adherence to customer specifications, internal SOPs, and quality standards; collaborate closely with QA to minimize defects, rejections, and rework.
-Drive cost control initiatives by reducing waste and improving overall operational efficiency.
-Optimize utilization of manpower, materials, and machinery to achieve production targets.
-Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and labour regulations across all production activities.
-Lead team development through structured training, performance monitoring, and continuous guidance.
-Track and report key production KPIs (OEE, rejection rate, productivity), maintaining accurate daily records of output, downtime, and process data, with monthly performance reporting to management.
