This is a great opportunity for anyone who is keen to gain experience in Operations in the social enterprise and charity sector, and also to get to know our amazing team and to make a real difference to the lives of the refugees and migrants we support.
The role will require a mixture of tasks focusing on supporting the smooth running of our operations. The volunteer will provide administrative support to our Operations Manager/ Volunteer Coordinator and also to the rest of the Operations team. There will be a range of administrative duties to support the day to day running of the charity, as well as the opportunity to work on specific projects, supporting the ongoing development of the organisations infrastructure. Some of these tasks may include:
Supporting customer service.
Supporting with day-to-day class volunteer management and the organisation of events to celebrate our wonderful class volunteers
Supporting with general documentation (e.g. creating allergen matrixes)
Supporting process improvements in our customer service and class quality (e.g. identifying emerging FAQs or laminating updated allergens matrixes and recipes).
Supporting class management with procurement

We are looking for someone who is efficient, flexible and resourceful, with a calm and friendly manner, and a keen eye for detail. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, a collaborative approach and the ability to build positive relationships with people at every level. You will need to be a problem solver and enjoy developing and improving systems and processes. You will be dealing with delicate cases, so discretion and sound judgement are critical.
Time commitment
This voluntary placement would start in March 2023, The placement would last for 3 months, for a suggested time of 3 or 4 days a week depending on your availability. Travel to our office and lunch expenses will be reimbursed.
