NOTE: This is a recurring volunteer placement role and we are continuously evaluating applications as they come. If you feel you meet the criteria and are willing and able to commit some time, apply today!

About the voluntary role

This is a great opportunity for anyone who is keen to gain Marketing, Digital, PR & Customer Service experience in the social enterprise and charity sector, and also to get to know our amazing team and to make a real difference in the lives of the refugees and migrants we support.

We are doing great, but that means we are always in need of more hands-on-deck, particularly when it comes to answering enquiries, emails and messages.

The main focus of this Volunteer Placement would be monitoring one of our email inboxes + social media DMs; answering enquiries where possible, and were not possible, forward to the relevant team members; forwarding press releases to relevant journalists.

There will be a range of marketing duties to support the day to day running of the marketing team, as well as the opportunity to work on specific projects, supporting the ongoing development of the organisation’s digital infrastructure.

The kind of person we’re looking for

We are looking for someone who is efficient, flexible and resourceful, with a calm and friendly manner. You will have excellent writing skills, a collaborative approach and some level of self-management, which you will need to organise your work and prioritise tasks. You will need to be a problem solver and enjoy developing and improving systems and processes. You will be dealing with delicate cases, so discretion and sound judgement are critical.

Time commitment

This voluntary placement would start ASAP. The placement would last for 3 months, for a suggested time of 3 or 4 days a week depending on your availability. Travel to our office and lunch expenses will be reimbursed.

We are continuously evaluating applications as they come.
