Company Overview:
A Malaysia-based manufacturer and system integrator located in Johor, specializing in generator set (genset) assembly and customized power solutions. The company are seeking a Service Manager to lead after-sales and maintenance operations and repair for diesel generator systems and associated electrical equipment supporting data centre infrastructure.
Job Descriptions:
- Lead and manage a regional team of Service Engineers and Service Technicians, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality service delivery.
- Oversee preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting of diesel generator systems used in data centres.
- Ensure compliance with service standards, safety procedures, and OEM maintenance guidelines.
- Coordinate with engineering teams and OEMs for complex technical issues.
- Prepare and submit technical proposals and service tenders for EPC contractors and data centre clients.
- Develop service scope, maintenance plans, and commercial proposals.
- Participate in technical clarification meetings with clients and consultants.
- Maintain strong relationships with data centre operators, EPC contractors, and facility managers.
- Track service KPIs and implement improvements in maintenance practices, response time, and reliability performance.
- Identify opportunities for service contracts, upgrades, and lifecycle support solutions.
- Occasional Travel is required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in diesel generator service or critical power systems.
- Experience working with data centres, mission-critical facilities, or large industrial power systems is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in technical tender preparation and proposal development
