Company Overview:

A Malaysia-based manufacturer and system integrator located in Johor, specializing in generator set (genset) assembly and customized power solutions. The company are seeking a Service Manager to lead after-sales and maintenance operations and repair for diesel generator systems and associated electrical equipment supporting data centre infrastructure.

Job Descriptions:

  • Lead and manage a regional team of Service Engineers and Service Technicians, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality service delivery.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting of diesel generator systems used in data centres. 
  • Ensure compliance with service standards, safety procedures, and OEM maintenance guidelines.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams and OEMs for complex technical issues.
  • Prepare and submit technical proposals and service tenders for EPC contractors and data centre clients.
  • Develop service scope, maintenance plans, and commercial proposals.
  • Participate in technical clarification meetings with clients and consultants.
  • Maintain strong relationships with data centre operators, EPC contractors, and facility managers. 
  • Track service KPIs and implement improvements in maintenance practices, response time, and reliability performance.
  • Identify opportunities for service contracts, upgrades, and lifecycle support solutions.
  • Occasional Travel is required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in diesel generator service or critical power systems.
  • Experience working with data centres, mission-critical facilities, or large industrial power systems is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical tender preparation and proposal development
