Job Purpose:

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and delivering the full lifecycle of the new plant construction project, from planning and design through execution, commissioning, and handover. This role requires close coordination with internal stakeholders, contractors, regulatory bodies, and cross-functional teams to ensure that the facility is delivered on time, within budget, and fully compliant with all applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the overall project plan including scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
  • Lead and oversee all construction activities including site preparation, building works, MEP, utilities, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, EHS (environment, health, and safety) regulations, GMP, and ISO requirements.
  • Oversee contractor selection, negotiations, and vendor management, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Monitor progress through cost control, quality assurance, and risk management frameworks.
  • Drive the commissioning, validation, and handover process to ensure readiness for production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, engineering, quality, and regulatory affairs.
  • Champion sustainability and energy efficiency practices in construction and plant operations.
  • Provide leadership to the project team, ensuring safety, accountability, and high performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Masters or PMP certification preferred).
  • 10 years of proven experience managing large-scale construction projects, preferably in manufacturing or industrial facilities.
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, MEP systems, utilities, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience managing large budgets, schedules, contractors, and procurement processes.
  • Familiarity with GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage risk, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in local languages is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work on-site and travel as required during project execution.

Employment Type:

  • 2-year contract (with potential for extension or conversion to permanent based on performance and business needs).
