1. Strategic Sourcing
Develop sourcing strategies for:
o Pharmaceutical-grade paperboard (FBB, SBS, coated/uncoated)
o Leaflet paper (thin, high-opacity, pharma-grade)
o Low-migration inks (UV, offset, flexo)
o Coatings and varnishes (water-based, UV)
o Chemicals (solvents, fountain solutions)
o Printing consumables (plates, blankets, wash cloths)
o Adhesives and laminates for cartons / leaflet
Identify compliant alternative materials
Monitor market trends in paper, chemicals, and pharma packaging materials

2. Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure all materials comply with (refer customer requirements):
o ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc)
o FDA / FCS (if applicable)
Maintain documentation for audits (COA, MSDS, technical data sheets)
Support internal and external audits (customer, regulatory bodies)

3. Supplier Qualification & Management
Qualify suppliers based on pharma compliance standards
Conduct supplier audits and risk assessments
Maintain Approved Supplier List
Monitor supplier KPIs (quality consistency, traceability, lead time)

4. Contract Negotiation & Cost Management
Negotiate long-term agreements with compliant suppliers
Balance cost-saving initiatives with strict quality and compliance needs
Negotiate pricing, MOQs, and long-term agreements

5. Production & Technical Collaboration
Work with QA, QC, and production teams on:
o Material trials and validation (inks, paperboard, coatings)
o Printability and machinability (offset, flexo)
Support new product development for pharma clients

6. Key Skills & Competencies
