Key Responsibilities

  • Lead & Manage Team
    Lead the Test & Failure Analysis (FA) Engineering team to support production, meet business targets, and drive operational excellence.
  • Technical Leadership
    Act as the subject-matter expert and escalation point for all test and failure-analysis issues, including complex troubleshooting and system-level debugging.
  • Test Development & Deployment
    Oversee the design, development, and implementation of test systems (FCT, ICT, MDA), ensuring timely delivery for NPI and production ramp.
  • Test Strategy & Performance
    Define test strategies, coverage, and ensure systems meet customer and manufacturing requirements, including GR&R, Cpk, reliability, and scalability.
  • Project & Resource Management
    Plan and manage tester development schedules, resources, and milestones from concept through production release.
  • Production Support & Optimization
    Ensure high tester uptime, stability, and efficiency through preventive maintenance, cycle time improvement, and spare parts management.
  • Failure Analysis & Yield Improvement
    Lead FA activities, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to improve yield, increase FPY, and reduce DPMO across production lines.
  • Cross-Functional & Customer Engagement
    Collaborate with Production, Quality, and customers to align on requirements, resolve issues, and ensure successful deliverables.
  • Continuous Improvement
    Drive initiatives to enhance test processes, reduce cost, and improve overall efficiency.
  • People Development
    Coach and develop engineers and technicians in test development, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.
  • Technical Expertise
    Provide leadership in NI LabVIEW development, architecture, and debugging.

Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering
  • At least 10 years of working experience in functional tester development and maintenance, including a leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in NI LabVIEW (programming, architecture, debugging)
  • Solid experience in functional test systems (FCT, ICT, MDA), ATE, and test development, with strong troubleshooting capability.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in failure analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Good knowledge of electronics design, signal integrity, manufacturing test strategy, and statistical analysis (GR&R, Cpk).
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to manage team and customer expectations.
