Job Description
- Purchasing - Leads Supply Chain Officers in developing supplier programs to improve lead time, responsiveness, and reliability of product information. Ensures purchased parts/products meet specifications and materials arrive on time to support production schedules. Monitors supplier delivery performance, ensures no delays, and provides timely reporting on supplier status and purchase order accountability.
- Vendor Management - Manages vendor relationships to coordinate supply chain programs, implementation, and performance measurement. Conducts half-yearly supplier performance reviews to recommend business continuation or implement corrective actions for improvement.
- Subcontractors - Ensures only qualified subcontractors are used for shop floor production control orders.
- ERP System Management (Infor ERP) - Acts as system owner for ERP-related matters, including improving purchasing and planning processes. Trains users, liaises with external consultants and internal specialists, and ensures optimal system usage. Monitors system reports to ensure alignment with business objectives and drives process improvements as needed.
- Inventory Control - Ensures system data matches physical stock counts. Produces monthly analysis of inventory liabilities, excess stock, and slow-moving items.
- Process Improvement - Leads development, training, implementation, and improvement of systems and processes. Optimizes internal logistics and material flow using methods such as LEAN and Kanban.
- New Product Launches - Supports Supply Chain Officers in developing and monitoring project timelines for new product introductions.
- Customer Focus - Collaborates with commercial teams to manage inventory investment, delivery plans, and turnover targets. Ensures customer forecasts are accurately entered and reported in ERP system.
- Warehouse Management - Oversees warehouse operations and staff, ensuring optimal space utilization and efficient product handling.
- Shipping - Selects and manages logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of goods. Maintains import/export licensing compliance.
- Department Development - Responsible for recruiting, retaining, and developing supply chain team members.
- Other Duties - Performs additional tasks as assigned by General Manager.
Requirements:
- Degree in Business Management/Operation Control/Purchasing or Supply Chain Management.
- Several years related working experience in the contract manufacturing environment, experience in purchasing, logistics.
- Familiar with ERP system such as InforLN/SAP or any other ERP system.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and ability to negotiate with all levels of people.
- Strong leadership, communication and analysis skill, entrepreneurial behavior.
- Self organize & structure, independent and self-motivated.
