Job Overview

Our client is seeking a dynamic and motivated Senior Executive / Executive – Marine Talent Acquisition to support the recruitment and management of seafarers while maintaining strong relationships with candidates and international principals. The ideal candidate should possess strong coordination, communication, and recruitment management skills within the maritime sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with principals to understand recruitment requirements and ensure timely candidate submissions
  • Advertise and promote seafarer vacancies across recruitment platforms and social media channels
  • Source and engage suitable candidates while maintaining an active talent pipeline
  • Conduct preliminary interviews and coordinate interviews with principals
  • Prepare and manage recruitment documentation including applications, certificates, and crew database updates
  • Maintain accurate and updated crew records and recruitment documentation
  • Build strong relationships with seafarers to support long-term engagement and future deployment opportunities
  • Identify training needs and support candidate development initiatives

Requirements

  • Previous experience in seafarer recruitment, crewing operations, marine HR, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in crew planning and handling joining formalities will be an added advantage
  • Strong communication skills in English and Sinhala (Tamil will be an added advantage)
  • Experience managing crew databases and recruitment documentation
  • Good IT literacy and familiarity with recruitment systems
  • Strong coordination, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively

  • Knowledge of maritime recruitment and compliance procedures
  • Strong relationship management and candidate engagement skills
  • Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
