Job Overview

As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring efficient manufacturing processes, and achieving production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards. The role involves managing production teams, optimizing workflows, monitoring resources, implementing process improvements, and ensuring timely delivery of products. You will play a key role in driving operational excellence, productivity, and continuous improvement within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and Execution of factory production operation to deliver monthly production target.
  • Planning and Execution of preventive maintenance schedules and repair maintenance activities to ensure smooth factory operations.
  • Ensure and accountable to maintain 100% Health & Safety Environment.
  • Ensure and accountable to maintain defined product quality standards.
  • Ensure and accountable for efficient staff utilization and factory HR administration and reporting.
  • Ensure and accountable for effective factory operational financial management and reporting.
  • Planning and implementation of improvement projects for R&D, Capex, Operational processes and Factory environment.
  • Timely and accurate management reporting of factory operations including ERP and management dashboards.
  • Being accountable for social responsibility in factory operations.
  • Planning and Execution of factory production operation to deliver monthly production target.
  • Planning and Execution of preventive maintenance schedules and repair maintenance activities to ensure smooth factory operations.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience at a managerial level in the manufacturing industry
  • Qualification/Field: Mechanical, NDT, or an equivalent HND qualification

Activities Relating to Key Role

  • Address individual and common issues of labours, provide solutions and communication to top management
  • Monitoring, assisting and leading KPIs and job role of operations executive
  • Supplement goods required for daily routine and non-routine operations
  • Factory final decision making for day- to day operations and technical issues
  • Manage factory financial expenses responsibility to optimize expenditures
  • Manage plant security
  • Ensure accurate monitoring, reporting and book keeping within plant
  • Verbal and written update top management on factory status
  • Approval and accountability for monthly runs plan, routine maintenance plan, material requisition form, finalized shift plan
  • Execute plans for good housekeeping within factory premise 
  • Strict information security on sensitive information
  • Incident reporting to management
  • Mitigate social issues among work team
  • Ensuring compliance of entire work team to factory house rules and warn for any staff member for non-compliances
  • Validate effective daily workforce utilization
  • Ensuring proper execution of agreed monthly shift plan and accountability for deviations
  • Represent work team to outside
  • Comply with given standing orders for factory operations
  • Accountability, coordination and reporting inbound/outbound materials
  • Ensure and accountable for maintain 100% Health & Safety Environment
