About the Job:

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Wharf Manager to lead and manage all import and export wharf operations with a focus on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and maintaining brand integrity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily import and export wharf operations.
• Ensure compliance with customs and port regulations.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders including customs officials, freight forwarders, and shipping agents.
• Monitor and optimize operational processes for improved cost-efficiency and turnaround time.
• Maintain documentation and records related to all import/export transactions.
• Lead a team and manage workforce scheduling and performance.
• Enforce safety and quality standards in all wharf activities.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Wharf Operations & Customs Clearance (Managerial Level).
• Holder of CHFA (Customs House Agent) License.
• Strong knowledge of documentation related to Import/Export/FOB/CIF.
• Familiarity with Incoterms, EDI, SLI, ISF, ACE, HS Code, and tariff classifications.
• Proficient in MS Excel and other reporting tools.
• Familiarity with ASCUDA (Automated System for Customs Data) is advantageous.
• Willingness to work long hours, including weekends if required.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
