About the job Frontend Engineer Intern
We are looking to hire a "Frontend Engineer Intern" for one of our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team to understand user requirements and contribute to the design process for user-facing features.
- Develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Implement designs provided by UI/UX designers or contribute to the design process by creating mockups and prototypes.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize the performance of frontend applications for speed and responsiveness.
- Integrate frontend components with backend services through RESTful APIs or other communication protocols.
- Work closely with Backend and DevOps teams to understand API specifications and ensure seamless integration and deployment of frontend applications.
- Conduct thorough testing of frontend features to ensure compatibility, usability, and accessibility across different devices and platforms.
- Collaborate with team members to review code, provide feedback, and maintain code quality standards.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in frontend development, UI/UX design, and web technologies.
- Document frontend code, components, and user interface patterns to ensure clarity and maintainability for future reference.
- Communicate effectively with team members to share progress, discuss challenges, and coordinate efforts for successful project delivery.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues encountered during development or deployment phases related to frontend components and user interfaces.
Qualifications:
- Good programming skills in Javascript, React, TypeScript, and state management tools like React-Query, Redux, RTK-Query, or Zustand.
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS and responsive design principles.
- Understanding of React Hooks to create custom hooks, encapsulating logic for the development of reusable components in line with React's composability principles.
- Familiarity with visualisation libraries such as D3, Vega, Recharts, Visx
- Familarity with RESTful APIs and performance testing frameworks.
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science
- Open source contributions are considered a huge plus
