We are looking to hire an "Technical Sales Engineer" for one of our client companies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering (preferably in electrical engineering).
  • Proven 3 years or more experience in technical sales, preferably within the energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and technical concepts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Proficiency in sales techniques and strategies, including prospecting, lead qualification, and negotiation.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Analytical skills to assess market trends, competitor activities, and sales performance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement: Proactively identify and engage potential clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Technical Consultation: Utilize your engineering expertise to provide technical consultations to clients, addressing their queries, and offering insights into product/service capabilities.
  • Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, demonstrations, and proposals to showcase the features and benefits of our products/services, highlighting their technical superiority and competitive advantages.
  • Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities. Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and potential areas for product/service enhancement.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate terms and contracts with clients, ensuring favorable outcomes while adhering to company policies and profitability targets. Drive deals to successful closure.
  • Post-Sales Support: Provide post-sales support by addressing client concerns, facilitating smooth project implementation, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams to resolve any technical issues or challenges.
