Job Overview

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic professional to lead project operations and procurement activities within their projects department. The role involves overseeing procurement planning, managing supplier and contractor relationships, and ensuring project timelines are supported through efficient sourcing and contract management. The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting large-scale development projects from planning through execution while ensuring cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop procurement plans aligned with project timelines to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Forecast project requirements for materials, equipment, and services in coordination with project teams.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers.
  • Maintain and manage an approved vendor database and evaluate vendor performance.
  • Lead the tendering process including bid evaluation, comparison, and negotiations.
  • Draft and review contracts in coordination with legal and project teams.
  • Ensure transparent and compliant procurement practices across all projects.
  • Monitor market trends and benchmark pricing for construction materials and services.
  • Oversee purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Project Management will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in project management within real estate, construction, or property development.
  • Proven experience managing residential, commercial, or mixed-use development projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of contract administration, consultant coordination, and contractor management.
  • Experience working with regulatory authorities related to development projects.
