Our client is the sole agent and distributor for LOréal and Matrix Professional products in Sri Lanka. The company is committed to delivering authentic, high-quality professional beauty products while supporting salons nationwide through reliable distribution and industry expertise.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to manage and oversee the company's financial operations. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, handling payables and receivables, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements. The ideal candidate will support the smooth functioning of the finance department and contribute to effective financial management within a fast-paced distribution business environment.

Responsibilities:

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing budgets and monitoring expenses.
• Ensure timely tax filings, VAT, and other statutory compliance.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide required financial information.
• Monitor cash flow and support daily finance operations.
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.

Qualifications:

• Part qualification in CA / ACCA / CIMA or Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a distribution or FMCG environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Good analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
