Our client is a well-established organization seeking an experienced legal professional to manage its corporate, commercial, property, compliance, and dispute-resolution matters.

Job Overview


The Manager – Legal will provide legal and strategic advice to management while overseeing contractual, corporate, property, regulatory, compliance, and dispute-resolution matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on commercial agreements and contracts.
  • Provide legal advice on contractual obligations, risks, liabilities, and commercial matters.
  • Handle notarial and property-related documentation, including sales, transfers, assignments, and leases.
  • Coordinate with notaries, banks, government authorities, and other stakeholders on property transactions.
  • Manage corporate secretarial matters, statutory filings, board resolutions, and corporate records.
  • Oversee legal and regulatory compliance, including AML/CFT requirements.
  • Provide legal opinions and strategic advice on commercial, corporate, property, and regulatory matters.
  • Manage and coordinate litigation, arbitration, and dispute-resolution matters.
  • Liaise with external counsel, attorneys, arbitrators, and regulatory authorities.
  • Advise on condominium management, Management Corporation matters, and related legal requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Qualified legal professional with 4–6 years of experience in corporate and commercial law.
  • Strong experience in property, real estate, and condominium law.
  • Notarial License – Colombo District is required.
  • Experience in litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution.
  • Strong legal drafting, negotiation, analytical, and advisory skills.
  • Experience liaising with government and regulatory authorities.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance, commercial contracts,
  • property law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to provide practical legal advice and manage multiple legal matters independently.
