About the Client

Our client is a leading data and technology solutions provider serving the Financial Services industry, specializing in data-driven transformation, business optimization, and innovative digital solutions across international markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Within a hybrid cloud, use Infrastructure-as-Code principles to assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of Linux-hosted workloads.
  • Configure and monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimisations.
  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of system security policies and procedures.
  • Support cybersecurity operations by assisting with the implementation and management of security tools and technologies: firewalls, intrusion detection, web application firewalls.
  • Participate in knowledge-seeking and knowledge-sharing activities. Contribute to our intellectual property for knowledge growth and future reference.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers and project managers.
  • Be current on emerging technologies, industry trends, particularly modern infrastructure,cloud computing, software engineering, and cybersecurity.
  • Develop/support Cloud based infrastructure: VMWare, Azure, AWS. Use infrastructure-as code to integrate with applications such as Sumologic, PagerDuty, Zabbix, Site24x7 etc.
  • In accordance with our Information Security standard and directives, support the full lifecycle of infrastructure from inception to decommissioning.
  • Provide DevOps function support to our Software Engineering teams across the preproduction environments. 
  • Understand and provide feedback on build integration,
    continuous integration, and deployment.
  • Work and collaborate quarterly and annually on compliance related support tasks including BCP and incident response plans (IRP).

Qualifications

  • Computer Science degree.
  • Linux operating system experience.
  • Windows operating system experience.
  • TCP/IP and general networking knowledge.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language: BASH, Ruby, or python.
  • Good communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills 
  • The ability to occasionally work outside normal business hours, including weekends.
  • Flexible Hybrid working conditions, with at least 2 days per week office attendance.
