Technical Lead Full Stack (Python/Django/React)

Description

Were looking for a seasoned Technical Lead to drive product engineering and

delivery for a fintech platform serving US-based clients. This role combines deep

technical expertise in Python/Django/React, hands-on development,

cross-functional leadership, and strong customer engagement skills. The ideal

candidate has prior experience in financial systems, is fluent in agile practices, and

can manage both engineering deliverables and client expectations.

Location:

LATAM (Colombia, México, Panamá)

Time Zone: Must overlap with US Eastern

Time (EST) at least 46 hours daily

Requirements

6+ years of software development experience with 2+ years in a tech lead

or engineering manager role.

Strong expertise in Python (Django/DRF), React/TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and

REST API design.

Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., invoicing, payments, ledgers,

reconciliation, etc.) or accounting/ERP integrations.

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, sprint planning, and team velocity tracking.

Strong understanding of software lifecycle, DevOps pipelines, and modern

deployment practices (Docker, GitHub Actions, etc.).

Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Based in Latin America with consistent time zone overlap with US EST.

Experience with AWS (e.g., S3, Lambda, Cloud Functions).

Familiarity with security and compliance standards (SOC2, PCI-DSS, etc.).

Exposure to third-party fintech APIs (e.g., Stripe, Plaid, QuickBooks).

Basic UX sensibility to collaborate with frontend engineers and designers.

Spanish proficiency for local team collaboration.
