Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Full-Stack Engineer to take a leading role in developing web-based  applications that power real-world community engagement at scale.

You´ll be building systems used by global users, delivering high-impact features across both backend and frontend layers. Youll own complex technical decisions, work closely with cross-functional teams, and help guide our technical roadmap.

This role combines technical leadership with hands-on coding and is ideal for someone who thrives in product-driven environments, values clean architecture, and wants to leave a lasting mark on rapidly evolving systems.

What You´ll Do

• Lead the design, architecture, and development of new platform features, balancing long-term quality with short-term needs.
• Own critical pieces of our full-stack applications (React + Django) and play a key role in expanding and refining the architecture.
• Contribute to the overall technical strategy, introducing modern frameworks, tooling, and patterns as needed.
• Drive team-wide adoption of engineering best practices: code reviews, test automation, performance monitoring, and CI/CD.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to other engineers, helping elevate team standards and skills.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Customer Success to ensure were solving the right problems effectively.
• Dedicate a portion of your time (~20%) to technical debt, refactoring, and systems-level bug fixing.

What You Bring

• 6+ years of experience developing full-stack web applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with React, JavaScript (ES6+), Python, and Django (or equivalent backend frameworks).
• Experience architecting scalable, production-grade systems with attention to performance and maintainability.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL or similar databases, including schema design and optimization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments (AWS/GCP), and monitoring practices.
• Excellent communication skillsyou can clearly convey technical trade-offs to both engineers and stakeholders.
• A collaborative mindset and a passion for mentoring and elevating those around you.

Nice to Have

Experience with real-time features (e.g. websockets, live updates).

Contributions to open-source projects or internal frameworks.

Background in SaaS, events, or community-centric platforms.
