About the role
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong SQL expertise and hands-on Python skills to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions.
This role requires deep understanding of relational and non-relational databases, ETL processes, and data warehouse architecture. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across distributed data systems and can both design and implement data pipelines
Technical Requirements
+4 years of professional Data Engineering experience
Strong experience with: Amazon EMR and MongoDB
Advanced SQL development skills (complex joins, CTEs, window functions, performance tuning)
Solid understanding of: ETL/ELT processes, Data warehousing concepts and Data modeling (OLTP vs OLAP)
Hands-on coding experience in Python
Experience with distributed data processing frameworks (Spark preferred)
Understanding of data pipeline orchestration concepts
Advanced Engish
Experience working in AWS cloud environments
Responsabilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
Develop complex queries and optimize performance in MySQL and other relational databases
Work with MongoDB for NoSQL data modeling and querying
Build and manage distributed data processing jobs using Amazon EMR
Develop data transformation and processing scripts in Python
Design and maintain data warehouse schemas (star/snowflake models)
Ensure data integrity, quality, and performance optimization
Collaborate with analytics, product and engineering teams to understand data needs
Monitor and improve data platform reliability and scalability
