Zoho Developer (Automation Focus) – Short-Term Contract

Engagement: 1–2 months
Hours: ~20 hrs/week
Location: Remote (EST morning overlap preferred)

Overview

We’re hiring an experienced Zoho Developer to support a live Zoho environment, focused on building and optimizing automation across multiple Zoho applications. This is a hands-on, execution-heavy role where speed, accuracy, and production-ready work are critical from day one.

You’ll work directly with the founder in an async environment, contributing to ongoing automation initiatives and improving how the business leverages the Zoho ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation across Zoho apps, primarily CRM and Books

• Build and maintain:

  • Workflow rules

  • Scheduled functions

  • Cross-platform sync (CRM Books)

• Develop and update Deluge scripts (production-ready)

• Handle external API integrations with third-party platforms

• Provide ongoing support:

  • Update functions, client scripts, fields, layouts, workflows

  • Maintain and improve Zoho Writer templates (quoting)

• Collaborate on automation scoping and implementation as requirements evolve

• Contribute best practices and recommend optimal use of Zoho tools

• Work with code stored in GitHub

• Leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude) for scoping, coding, and documentation

Must-Have Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with:

  • Zoho CRM

  • Zoho Books

• Advanced proficiency in Deluge scripting (production-level)

• Experience building automation and workflows in Zoho

• Proven experience with external API integrations within Zoho

• Ability to work in a live production environment with minimal ramp-up

• Comfortable working async with minimal supervision
