We are currently inviting applications from compassionate, experienced, and confident nannies with newborn experience to support our wonderful clients. 

If you are known for being a 'baby whisperer' – someone who understands the delicate needs of infants and can provide both nurturing care and structured developmental support during the early months, especially around sleep management – we encourage you to apply.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the full care of a newborn (0–6 months), ensuring a safe, calm, and developmentally supportive environment whilst parents are at home/work. The roles can be offered on a casual and permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities

Newborn Care & Daily Support

• Responsive feeding support
• Managing and tracking feeding and sleep schedules
• Confident with contact napping and supporting healthy sleep foundations
• Safe settling techniques (swaddling, rocking, soothing methods)
• Diapering, bathing, and general hygiene care
• Monitoring baby's wellbeing and developmental milestones

Developmental & Emotional Support

• Engaging in age-appropriate sensory play (tummy time, visual tracking, gentle music)
• Supporting early motor skill development
• Encouraging cognitive and language exposure through reading and talking
• Creating a calm, secure attachment-based environment
• Understanding newborn cues and responding appropriately

Household Duties (Baby-Related)

• Washing and sterilising bottles/pump parts
• Baby laundry and organising nursery space
• Maintaining cleanliness of baby areas
• Restocking baby essentials and communicating supply needs
  

Parent Collaboration

• Working closely with parents to follow their preferred routines
• Providing daily updates on feeds, naps, and developmental observations
• Supporting postpartum parents with reassurance and practical help when needed

Requirements

• Up-to-date resume with newborn experience and references
• Current Working With Children Check / Blue Card
• Valid Police Check
• First Aid & CPR certification (including baby CPR)
• Relevant childcare and sleep qualifications (highly regarded)
