JOB SUMMARY

Our client is looking for an Application Support Lead to join the application support team. This role involves managing and supporting production systems to ensure applications are stable, available, and ready for business operations. The position requires hands-on production support experience, leadership capability, and willingness to support systems after working hours.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Must be able to co-manage an application support team, including roster planning, task delegation, status follow-up, chairing team meetings, and issue approval.
  • Must assist, notify, and remind the manager on important meetings and planned activities.
  • Must monitor frontend, middleware, and backend applications using monitoring tools.
  • Must ensure routine batch jobs are completed without errors.
  • Must be involved in improving monitoring applications and processes toward automation.
  • Must be able to execute service recovery or escalate issues to L2 support teams.
  • Must support operation users during production incidents, including checking databases and application logs.
  • Must track production incidents in an issue tracking system and resolve or close issues within Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Must participate in knowledge transfer from Business Analysts and
  • Development teams for new application services and batch jobs.
  • Must update manuals and guidelines (monitoring and system recovery steps) into the knowledge base.
    Must check deployment checklists and verify post-deployment activities.
    Must be involved in company activities such as disaster recovery drills, load testing, and stress testing.
    Must be able to work closely with colleagues across departments.
    Must be willing to continue supporting systems after working hours when required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Computing, Information Technology, or equivalent with CGPA 3.0 and above.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in the IT industry.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as L1, L2, or L3 supporting production systems.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a team lead managing at least 2 team members.
  • Knowledge of system monitoring tools and application performance monitoring tools is required.
  • Knowledge of SQL queries, Linux commands, application log analysis, and scripting (Bash or Python) is an advantage.
  • Developers, database administrators, quality assurance professionals, and system analysts are encouraged to apply.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in the stock broking industry and stock trading is a plus.
  • Must be a responsible and dependable individual with strong leadership traits.
  • Creative mindset with ideas to improve monitoring, support operations, and processes.
