About the job Marketing Assistant
The Opportunity
This is not a typical marketing assistant role. This is a high-growth path to Marketing Manager for someone who wants to earn trust through execution, embrace a fast-moving startup culture, and own the top of the funnel for a company already doing $1M+ ARR with 100+ customers.
You will work directly with both cofounders (CEO and GTM Lead) daily. The expectation is clear: follow the playbook first, master execution, then earn the autonomy to lead. Compensation will double quickly as trust builds and results follow.
What This Role Is (And Isnt)
THIS ROLE IS A path to Marketing Manager Execution-first, strategy-later High-trust, high-autonomy (earned) Direct access to the founding team Fast compensation growth with results
THIS ROLE IS NOT A place to implement your own playbook from day one A hands-off, self-directed position A role where you wait for instructions A dead-end assistant gig
Core Responsibilities: Top-of-Funnel Lead Generation
Your primary mission is demand generation. You own the top of the funnel and are measured by the quality and volume of leads entering the pipeline across five key channels:
- SEO & AEO (AI Engine Optimization): Execute keyword strategy, optimize on-page content, build backlink campaigns, and ensure Mission Inbox shows up in both traditional search and AI-generated answers. You will coordinate with freelancers or agencies on technical SEO while owning the content and on-page side.
- Website Optimization: Own conversion rate optimization across landing pages, CTAs, and user flows. Run A/B tests, monitor analytics, update messaging, and ensure the website is a high-performing lead machine. Work in Webflow with design direction from the CEO.
- Google & LinkedIn Ads: Manage paid campaigns end-to-end or serve as the bridge between agencies/freelancers and the company. Track ROAS, optimize targeting, manage budgets, and report on campaign performance weekly.
- Webinars & Virtual Events: Plan, promote, and execute virtual events that generate qualified leads. Handle logistics, speaker coordination, registration flows, follow-up sequences, and post-event content repurposing.
- Content Marketing: Produce blog posts, case studies, email newsletters, social content, and sales enablement materials. Content must be data-driven, technically accurate, and aligned with the companys voice. You will write, edit, and coordinate with external writers when needed.
For some of these channels, you will lead the work directly. For others, you will act as the internal bridge between external agencies or freelancers and the founding team—ensuring quality, alignment, and deadlines are met.
