MISSION:
To own and drive the brand's overall performance by developing a robust strategic plan and ensuring excellent execution within the Hong Kong & Taiwan (HKTW) market. This role requires visionary leadership to inspire the local organization and achieve sustainable growth.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business & Market Strategy:
- Develop and implement the brand's short-term and long-term business strategy for the HKTW market, ensuring full alignment with regional & global vision.
- Act as the primary representative of the HKTW market to Regional and Global HQ, providing insightful feedback and advocating for local market needs.
- Continuously analyze the competitive landscape to identify new opportunities for growth, market share gain, and profit enhancement.
- Build a strategic, consumer-centric omni-channel distribution plan, including door optimization, new door openings, and management of underperforming locations.
Marketing & Brand Management:
- Protect and elevate the brand image, positioning, and pricing strategy in the region.
- Lead all consumer-facing marketing strategies with a strong focus on Digital, including media planning, social strategy, PR, and CRM/direct marketing.
- Manage the entire product portfolio, from strategic launch planning to in-store animations and promotions.
- Oversee store design, visual merchandising, and retail execution to ensure a premium and consistent brand experience for consumers.
Commercial & Financial Excellence:
- Assume full P&L responsibility for the HKTW subsidiary, delivering on budgeted sales, profit, and cash flow targets.
- Lead negotiations and build sustainable, profitable relationships with key account partners.
- Manage and optimize the OPEX budget, with specific focus on controlling selling costs and A&P expenditures.
- Define and control key financial operations including payment terms, procurement, and inventory levels to ensure healthy working capital.
Education & Pro Segment:
- Guarantee a top-tier level of product education and artistry skill development for the team and consumers.
- Develop a profitable Professional (PRO) business segment by building and nurturing relationships with renowned makeup artistry schools and professionals in HKTW.
Organization & Leadership:
- Provide strong leadership to the entire HKTW organization, including sales, education, and marketing teams.
- Attract, develop, and retain top talent through effective coaching, mentoring, and training programs.
- Recommend and implement organizational structure changes to enhance agility and efficiency.
CRITERIA FOR PERFORMANCE EVALUATION:
- Achievement of Financial Objectives (Sales, P&L, and Cash Flow Targets)
- Achievement of Strategic & Market Objectives (e.g., Market Share, Brand Health Metrics)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent; an MBA is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in marketing, sales, or general management within the premium beauty or retail consumer goods industry. Proven experience leading and developing a multi-functional organization is essential.
- Functional Competencies:
- Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese (both spoken and written). Proficiency in Cantonese is a strong advantage for the Hong Kong market.
- In-depth knowledge of the HKTW beauty retail landscape and consumer behavior.
- Strong financial and business acumen, with proven experience managing a P&L.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate field and office teams.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
