We are a leading company in pet nutrition, and we're looking for a Head of Regulatory Affairs, China to be the cornerstone of our innovation and market access strategy. You will ensure that our breakthrough nutritional formulas for cats and dogs successfully navigate the regulatory landscape and reach the pets that need them.
In this high-impact role, you won't just manage compliance, you'll be a key business leader, shaping policy, building influential relationships, and guiding our future in China.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Strategy: Develop and execute the end-to-end regulatory strategy for the China market, enabling the launch of innovative pet food products and ingredients.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with global R&D, Commercial, and Supply Chain teams to align on regulatory requirements, risk management, and business goals.
- Industry Influence: Represent our company with key regulatory bodies (including MARA) and trade associations to advocate for sensible policies and stay ahead of trends.
- Proactive Intelligence: Monitor the evolving pet food regulatory environment in China, providing strategic insights to mitigate risk and capitalize on opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing regulatory affairs team dedicated to excellence.
The Ideal Candidate Has:
- Proven leadership experience in Regulatory Affairs within the Pet Food, Animal Health, or FMCG food industry.
- Deep, hands-on expertise in the Chinese regulatory landscape (MARA experience is essential).
- A strategic mindset with a proven ability to translate business needs into successful regulatory outcomes.
- Exceptional skills in stakeholder management, with experience engaging with government officials and industry groups.
- A track record of building, inspiring, and developing talented teams.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and Mandarin.
