Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze credit applications from clients, including financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documents.
- Conduct thorough credit assessments to determine the creditworthiness of applicants.
- Utilize financial analysis tools and techniques to evaluate the financial health of businesses and individuals.
- Assess the level of risk associated with each credit application and make recommendations to senior management.
- Communicate with clients to gather additional information and clarify any discrepancies in the application.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and underwriting, to ensure timely and accurate completion of credit assessments.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in credit assessment and risk management.
- Provide training and guidance to junior team members as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in credit assessment, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documents.
- Proficient in financial analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions and recommendations based on thorough analysis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Knowledge of credit regulations and compliance is a plus.
