Position Overview

This is a core strategic IR leadership role responsible for accurately communicating corporate value to the capital markets.

The IR Senior Manager will work closely with the Head of IR to plan and execute IR strategy, strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and enhance team performance through active leadership and talent development. This is a highly visible position with direct exposure to senior management, including the CEO and CFO.

The company is looking to strengthen engagement with overseas investors. A candidate who can demonstrate immediate impact—particularly in global investor communication—will gain strong visibility and recognition from executive leadership. The role offers opportunities to:

  • Travel overseas with the CEO/CFO for investor relations and shareholder meetings

  • Participate in Board of Directors meetings and other key executive discussions

  • Work closely with top management at a major publicly listed company

Candidate Profile

We are seeking:

  • Experienced IR professionals

  • Or high-potential finance professionals (VP-level equivalent) from buy-side or sell-side backgrounds

  • Sell-side analyst coverage experience is strongly preferred

  • Candidates from large-cap, publicly listed companies preferred (given the scale and intensity of the role)

This is a high-volume IR role (approximately 300 investor interactions per year). Experience limited to small organizations may not provide sufficient exposure.

Strong storytelling ability is critical — candidates must be able to:

  • Clearly articulate the companys equity story

  • Address investor concerns convincingly

  • Communicate complex financial and strategic matters effectively

  • Demonstrate experience conducting such communication in English

Key Responsibilities

IR Strategy Development & Execution

  • Formulate and execute mid- to long-term IR strategy with the Head of IR

  • Drive appropriate valuation and positioning in capital markets

Earnings & Financial Disclosure Leadership

  • Lead earnings announcement processes

  • Plan and execute earnings briefings

  • Prepare scripts and presentation materials

IR Events & Investor Engagement

  • Organize and lead conferences, analyst meetings, and overseas Non-Deal Roadshows (NDRs)

  • Strengthen engagement with global investors

Disclosure & Stakeholder Communication

  • Oversee qualitative disclosures in financial reporting

  • Build relationships with investors and analysts

Market Intelligence & Executive Advisory

  • Monitor stock performance and industry trends

  • Gather and analyze investor/analyst feedback

  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management

Retail Shareholder Communication

  • Prepare shareholder letters

  • Oversee annual review materials

ESG/CSV Disclosure Enhancement

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to strengthen ESG-related disclosures

Team Leadership

  • Develop IR team members

  • Set goals, evaluate performance, and assign responsibilities aligned with career development

Required Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of finance and accounting (ability to engage with executives and investors at a high level)

  • Minimum 5 years of experience related to equity markets (IR, buy-side, or sell-side)

  • Native-level communication skills in both English and Japanese (verbal and written)

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFA, CPA, MBA, or equivalent certifications

  • Team management experience

  • Experience in financial disclosure and press release preparation

  • Experience working with external vendors (e.g., earnings events)

  • Investor/client-facing experience (required if no prior IR experience)

  • Strong presentation and pitch material development skills (required if no prior IR experience)

Working Hours

  • 9:00 AM – 5:45 PM (1-hour break)

  • Super Flex System (no core hours)

  • Remote work environment supported
