Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Brand Manager to lead the Sheba brand within the "Care & Treats (C&T) and Wet categories" in Japan. This role owns the end-to-end business management, from planning and executing short-term marketing activations to developing mid-to-long term growth strategies.
You will be responsible for driving brand and business growth not only by maximizing existing product potential but also by leading new product development and go-to-market strategies from scratch. Success in this role requires strong collaboration with local, regional, and global cross-functional teams to achieve defined business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute brand and business strategies for assigned categories to achieve both short-term and mid-term financial and brand health goals.
- Lead the creation of the mid-to-long term growth roadmap, including new sub-category creation and innovation pipeline development.
- Collaborate with the senior brand leadership to shape the total Sheba brand strategy.
Business & Brand Management:
- Own the P&L management and monitor brand health metrics for the assigned categories.
- Lead the end-to-end process for launching new products, including defining winning propositions and developing effective go-to-market strategies.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership:
- Act as the category lead for the Sheba brand, serving as the key point of contact for global and regional marketing teams, internal management, and external agencies.
- Foster a productive and collaborative way of working within the marketing team and across functions (e.g., R&D, Sales).
- Co-lead initiatives to enhance team engagement, cross-functional collaboration, and talent development within the team.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement in processes and ways of working.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) Marketing or in an equivalent strategic role with a proven record of achievement.
- Fluent in both Japanese and English (business level), with exceptional communication and influencing skills.

Other Requirements
- Domestic and international business travel may be required.
- This role follows a hybrid work model, with an requirement to work from the Tokyo (or Osaka) office up to 2 days per week, or as business needs require.
