About the job CEO Sorbmetrics (The Collider Programme)
Are you looking for a new entrepreneurial challenge with the opportunity to build a deep-tech startup in the industrial sector?
Sorbmetrics, a beneficiary of The Collider Venture Building Programme, is seeking an entrepreneurial profile with strong business acumen and previous founder experience to join the scientific team. As the Entrepreneur-in-Residence, you will participate in our 3-month programme to lead the business validation phase, working hand-in-hand with the scientists. If both the business and the team validate successfully, the spin-off will be incorporatedand you will become the CEO and co-founder of a new disruptive deep-tech company.
About Sorbmetrics
Sorbmetrics has developed a pioneering breakthrough method and set of devices that enables direct quantification of sorption, the process by which chemical substances are adsorbed from a liquid medium, by porous or adsorbent materials. Unlike current approaches relying on indirect measurements and extensive calibration, Sorbmetrics introduces a novel mass-dependent method that is calibration-efficient, material-centric, and universally applicable to any compound or liquid system, including partially or fully insoluble substances.
The technology has high potential impact across industrial manufacturing, scientific research, pharmaceuticals, and the agro-food sector where understanding adsorption behaviour is essential for innovation, compliance, and product development.
The project has been developed by the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and the University of Cantabria, is protected by two patents, and is currently at TRL 67.
Project Leader: Dr. Rubén Pérez Aguirre (Future CTO).
