Role Overview
As a Cybersecurity Expert, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our systems from cyber threats. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security frameworks, conducting risk assessments, and responding to incidents. This position requires deep technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to cybersecurity in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security protocols, policies, and frameworks to protect company and customer data.
- Conduct regular security risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and penetration testing.
- Monitor and respond to cybersecurity threats, incidents, and breaches in real time.
- Develop and enforce security best practices across networks, systems, and cloud environments.
- Collaborate with IT, engineering, and compliance teams to ensure security is embedded in all aspects of the business.
- Conduct security audits and ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA).
- Investigate and mitigate security incidents, including malware outbreaks, phishing attacks, and data breaches.
- Implement and manage endpoint protection, firewalls, SIEM systems, and identity management solutions.
- Provide security training and awareness programs for employees to prevent social engineering and other cyber threats.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to continuously enhance security posture.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in network security, cloud security, and application security.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity tools, including SIEM solutions, IDS/IPS, EDR, firewalls, and encryption protocols.
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and incident response.
- Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, SOC 2) and regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively manage security risks.
- Industry certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, GIAC, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience securing SaaS or enterprise technology environments.
- Background in ethical hacking, penetration testing, or red teaming.
- Experience with DevSecOps practices and security automation.
- Familiarity with AI-driven cybersecurity tools and automation.
