Position Overview:
1st Shift 7am-3:30pm Mon-Fri
As a Tig Welder, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding on various metal components using the Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding process. You will work with a variety of metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel, to produce precise and flawless welds. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate TIG welding equipment to join metal components according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and diagrams to determine welding requirements
- Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and cutting as needed
- Monitor welding process to ensure quality and make necessary adjustments
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
- Troubleshoot and resolve any welding issues that may arise
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in TIG welding
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and welding equipment
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce precise and accurate welds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Valid welding certification is a plus
- Pharmaceutical, process piping or food experience is preferred
