POSITION: Sales Manager – Exempt - Full Time onsite position
DEPARTMENT: Sales
HOURS/DAYS: 8am to 5pm, Monday thru Friday
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manage, train, and develop the best trained, professional sales team
- Develop and implement sales strategy to reach company goals
- Create individual targets for sales team to reach department goals
- Lead outgoing meetings with customers either in person or online
- Track and analyze data from sales activities to create positive movement
- Build customer relationships or attract new leads in our industry
- Receive incoming sales calls/quote on order inquiries
- Manage the information provided by sales team and share with outside reps and team
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 10-15 years of successful previous experience, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
- PVF Industry and sales experience preferred.
- Able to operate in a fast-paced and changing market environment.
- Strong leadership qualities and ability to drive sales teams
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lead meetings with internal teams or external customers.
- Coaching and mentoring skills
- Reliable, organized, detailed, and focused.
- Proficiency with all Microsoft Office tools
- Experience with ERP systems (Epicor a plus)
- Experience with CRM software
- Training in sales management and promotion tactics or certifications, such as the Certified Professional Sales Leader (CPSL) or the Certified Sales Executive (CSE)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain relationships; grow and service existing accounts.
- Respond to communications promptly and professionally.
- Recruiting and performance monitoring of sales team
- Proactively generate sales and promote Core Pipe through outbound initiatives.
- Create a program for the team to contact customers or potential customers on a regular basis.
- Motivate and create incentives for sales team.
- Prepare and conduct regular sales meetings
- Communicate feedback and market information to the sales team.
- Respond to customer inquiries.
- Follow up on quotes.
- Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team.
- Process and review customer purchase orders.
- Coordinate department tasks to effectively utilize your time.
- Coordinate with production to identify lead times and shipping dates.
- Communicate customer issues or potential problems to upper management.
- Represent company in a positive manner.
EDUCATION LEVEL:
- Bachelor's degree in sales and marketing or business management, or relevant experience
