About the job Event Coordinator
Primary Purpose
The Event Coordinator shall be responsible for planning, executing, and coordinating a range of events from social events to corporate ones or weddings. This role demands an eye for detail, very good organisational skills, and a creative mindset to ensure seamless event experiences and consistent communication across various platforms. The job incumbent will work closely with and assist the Senior Marketing & Event Executive in her duties.
Responsibilities:
Event Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute a diverse range of events, including weddings, social gatherings, birthday parties, community and corporate events.
- Manage the calendar of events.
- Manage all logistical aspects of events, including pre & post event tasks.
- Manage event budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate event timelines, schedules, and production plans to guarantee smooth execution.
- Handle vendor relationships, negotiations, and contracts to ensure high-quality services within budgetary constraints.
- Supervise event setup and teardown to maintain a professional and engaging atmosphere.
- Assist the Senior Marketing & Events Executive in her duties.
Monthly reporting:
- Prepare detailed monthly reports summarising event outcomes, communication effectiveness, and engagement metrics.
- Collaborate with the Senior Marketing & Event Executive to analyse report data and identify areas for enhancement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing/Event Management, or a related field.
Competencies:
- Exceptional event/project management and organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and clarity.
- Creative thinking and the ability to propose innovative ideas.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
