About the job Golf Operations Attendant
Primary Purpose
The Golf Operations Attendant will provide optimal customer service to all guests and will attempt to anticipate and fulfil customer needs in a variety of responsibilities as assigned which may include work in Practice Range, Cart Barn, Valet, Driving Range, Starting and/or Course Play / Marshall. This position may sometimes be required to steps in and helps out in any area requested by the supervisor / Senior Management.
Responsibilities:
Practice Range:
- Set stations with balls as described in the Operations Manual.
- Attend range throughout the day maintaining cleanliness.
- Send members to putting green five minutes prior to tee time.
- Assist members with carrying clubs from range to cart.
- Pick up and break down range.
Cart Barn:
- Stage golf carts with golf bags.
- Maintain staging area, driving range, and practice area set-up.
- Clean golf clubs, receive members at end of round, records finish time and reports it to the Golf Shop Cleans and maintains golf carts and cart barn area.
- Carry out starting and marshalling duties.
Valet:
- Bring customer golf bags to golf cart staging area.
- Park vehicles in designated valet parking areas and retrieves vehicles on request.
- Load and unload golf bags in/out of vehicles.
Starter:
- Review a prepared list of golf course rules.
- Inform Members of any unusual conditions that exist on the course.
- Communicate with other Outside Service Staff to ensure that all players tee off at their scheduled times. Records Fee Structure and Transportation.
- Submit completed Tee Sheet to Golf Shop.
Marshall:
- Monitor all play on the golf course, with special attention to the area of pace play.
- Recommends possible solutions to customers concerning on course problems, especially pace of play.
- Report golf course play situation to the golf shop staff at regular intervals.
- Repair ball marks and fix divots as needed.
- Check water and ice stations and restock supplies as needed.
- Deliver messages to customers on the golf course.
Qualifications:
- Minimum School certificate.
- Good communication skills.
- Courteous, proactive and dedicated with excellent customers service skills
- Willingness to work and learn.
- Demonstrates an ability to interact positively with supervisor, management, co‐workers, members, and the public
- Team player and maintain a positive and professional approach.
- Follow scheduled roster and is punctual at work
- Follows directions, takes criticism positively
- Abide by the code of conduct of Mont Choisy Group
- Possess high level of integrity
