About the job Stock Controller
Primary Purpose
The Stock Controller will manage and monitor inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies at the clubhouse, ensuring accurate stock records, timely replenishment, and compliance with internal controls and hygiene standards.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee stock control systems.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels with forward planning for peak periods, functions, and holidays.
- Ensure proper storage, rotation (FIFO), and hygiene standards for all stock items.
- Prevent stock shrinkage, losses, and wastage through effective controls and procedures.
- Monitor pricing and supplier competitiveness to meet budgetary targets.
- Establish and manage beverage budgets and strive to improve gross profit margins.
- Enhance product quality and variety in line with seasonal changes and member expectations.
- Support increased sales by improving product offerings and maximizing function revenue.
- Assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Prepare and submit stock reports and variance analyses to the General Manager.
- Collaborate with the Financial Manager on data capturing and variance reporting.
- Assist with daily cash float checks when requested by the Financial Manager.
- Ensure clubhouse facilities are opened and securely closed as delegated by the General Manager.
- Any other assignments as may be designated to you.
Qualifications:
- Minimum: Higher School Certificate (HSC).
- 2+ years experience in inventory or stock control, preferably in hospitality.
- Knowledge of inventory systems and basic accounting principles.
- HACCP or food safety training is an advantage
Competencies required:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
