About the job EH&S Supervisor

A reputable manufacturing operation client is seeking an EH&S Supervisor to support and advance a strong safety and compliance culture. This role is instrumental in promoting workplace safety, ensuring environmental and regulatory adherence, and providing leadership in occupational health and safety programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support employees and leaders in identifying potential hazards and improving safety behaviors
  • Drive incident reporting processes and support root cause investigations
  • Assist the EH&S Manager with program implementation and continuous improvement
  • Maintain adherence to OSHA General Industry Standards and internal safety protocols
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental laws
  • Deliver engaging and effective EH&S training sessions to the workforce
  • Track and analyze EH&S performance against established goals
  • Accurately report and document safety and environmental metrics
  • Administer first aid and coordinate injury response procedures
  • Contribute to wellness programs, health screenings, OSHA logs, and hearing conservation initiatives
  • Carry out additional duties as directed by the EH&S Manager

Qualifications & Skills

  • Prior EH&S experience in a manufacturing setting (experience in wood/lumber industry is a plus)
  • Working knowledge of OSHA compliance and environmental regulations
  • Strong skills in safety training, team engagement, and hazard recognition
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Strong team leadership and collaboration skills
  • Proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills
