JOB DESCRIPTION:

We're looking for an experienced and strategic HR Business Partner to support our growing team in the Philippines. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to both local and U.S.-based senior leaders. You'll partner closely with U.S.-based managers and our global People team to shape and deliver people strategies that enable team performance, engagement, and growth.

We're looking for someone who brings a thoughtful mix of local HR expertise and a global mindset with the confidence to share their perspective, flag concerns early, and engage directly with leadership when issues arise. This isnt a reactive or behind-the-scenes role. We need someone who is proactive, comfortable advising senior leaders, and able to influence decisions with insight and clarity.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic HR Partnership

  • Act as a thought partner to U.S. and Philippine-based senior leaders on organizational health, team performance, succession planning, and employee experience.

  • Be proactive in surfacing issues and trends to leadership dont wait to be asked. Speak up when something isnt working, and bring forward thoughtful solutions.

  • Offer candid, informed guidance to leaders, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and help shape better people decisions.

  • Advise on performance issues including performance improvement plans (PIPs), Notice of Decision (NOD) coordination, and employee exits.

  • Support culture development and employee engagement efforts using feedback from tools like the annual engagement survey.

  • Lead the annual performance calibration and review process for the Philippines team, including training and reporting.

  • Identify talent gaps and help drive local action plans for succession planning and retention, especially for employees flagged as below delivering.

Employee Relations and Compliance
  • Provide expert guidance on Philippine labor law and HR best practices to U.S. stakeholders.

  • Manage sensitive employee relations issues end-to-end, including investigations, disciplinary procedures, and documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.

Operational & Advisory Support
  • Regularly engage with team members to assess morale and surface issues.

  • Coordinate and lead quarterly employee town halls or engagement sessions.

  • Run and analyze reports in HRIS tools (e.g., Sprout, Rippling) to support business and people decisions.

  • Participate in leadership and team meetings to provide insights and align on team priorities.

  • Support policy updates and creation in partnership with functional leaders and the broader People team.

Talent Acquisition Leadership
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role needs, write job descriptions, and align on hiring profiles.

  • Manage relationships with local RPO agencies as needed.

  • Source and screen candidates and help close offers in collaboration with managers and the Talent team.

People Projects and Events
  • Co-lead bi-annual leadership on-site planning and execution.

  • Organize and oversee local events and culture-building activities.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • 6+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a true HRBP capacity.

  • Proven experience partnering with U.S.-based leaders and collaborating with a global HR team.

  • Demonstrated confidence and sound judgment when advising leaders comfortable sharing your perspective, even when it challenges the status quo.

  • Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership; you dont wait for direction you reach out, raise issues early, and follow through.

  • Experience supporting full-cycle recruitment and working with third-party recruiting partners or agencies.

  • Experience in a BPO, tech, or high-growth international environment preferred.

  • Deep understanding of Philippine labor law and HR best practices.

  • Strong communicator with the ability to build trust across time zones and cultures.

  • Calm and approachable demeanor that helps de-escalate situations and support thoughtful decision-making.

  • Familiarity with systems like Sprout, Rippling, or similar HR platforms.

  • Passion for people and a practical, balanced approach to solving problems.
