About the job Data & Business Intelligence Analyst

Data & Business Intelligence Analyst (Project-Based | Data Foundation Builder)

Location: Remote (Philippines Preferred)
Engagement: Project-Based / Contract (Initial 6–12 Weeks)
Role Type: Individual Contributor / Strategic Builder

About the Role

This is not a Virtual Assistant role. This is not a data entry role.

More Staffing is looking for a Data & BI Analyst to build our companys data foundation from the ground up. We don't need someone to simply update existing spreadsheets; we need someone to audit our disparate data sources, clean the mess, design the logic, and build a "Single Source of Truth" for our leadership team.

You are a builder. You will come in, make sense of the noise, and leave us with a reliable, automated system that drives business decisions.

The Mission

Your goal is simple but difficult: Turn our messy data into a clear, reliable operating system.

By the end of this project, you will hand over a system where leadership can look at the business weekly and monthly with absolute confidence in the numbers.

Your Scope of Work:

  • The Audit: Deep dive into our current ecosystem (Manatal, Google Sheets, Sales, Finance, Incentives) to understand what we have and where the breaks are.
  • The Cleanup: Scrub, normalize, and structure datasets. You must be comfortable dealing with broken, inconsistent, "real-world" human data.
  • KPI Design: Define how we measure success. You aren't just visualizing data; you are defining the logic behind Sales, Ops, and Finance metrics.
  • The Build: Create reliable, automated dashboards for leadership.
  • Documentation: Document the data dictionary and the logic so the system is repeatable and scalable after your contract ends.

Who We Are Looking For (Non-Negotiables)

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst, Analytics Engineer, or Operations Analyst with a track record of impact.

  • Real-World Experience: You have built dashboards from messy, multi-source data before. You don't just work with clean academic datasets.
  • Advanced Spreadsheet Mastery: You are in the top 1% of Google Sheets/Excel users (Query functions, complex modeling, error handling).
  • Business Acumen: You understand how a business works. You can speak to Sales and Finance leaders and translate their needs into data logic.
  • Stakeholder Management: You are comfortable presenting to leadership and challenging "bad data" or vanity metrics.

Nice-to-Haves (Strong Plus)

  • Experience with Automation tools (Zapier, Make, APIs) to reduce manual entry.
  • Background in Staffing, Recruitment Agencies, or SaaS Startups.
  • Experience with RevOps (Revenue Operations) data.

Who Should NOT Apply

  • Reporting Analysts who are used to simply refreshing existing reports.
  • Academic Profiles who have only worked with clean Kaggle datasets and no business context.
  • Administrative VAs looking for data entry work.

The Engagement

  • Type: Project-Based Contract.
  • Duration: Estimated 6–12 weeks to build the foundation.
  • Future Potential: Successful completion could lead to retainer work for maintenance or further phases, but the primary goal is a "build and handoff."
