Job Title: Performance Video Editor (Short-Form / Paid Social)

Reports To: Sam Smith
Work Shift: Flexible with UK overlap preferred
Working Hours: Part-time; 3 days per week (with path to full-time / 5 days per week)


Job Description:

We are seeking a Performance Video Editor to support a high-volume paid social creative program focused on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok. This role is responsible for editing short-form video ads using raw UGC and creator footage into high-performing, platform-native content.

The role operates within a structured production workflow, with fixed deadlines and consistent output expectations. The editor will be responsible for delivering a high volume of short-form ads, optimized for engagement, pacing, and conversion.

This is not a traditional video editing role. The focus is on performance-driven content that feels native to social feeds, rather than polished or brand-heavy production. The ideal candidate understands how to turn raw footage into compelling ad creatives that align with current social trends and paid media best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Short-Form Video Editing

  • Edit short-form video content (15–60 seconds) for Meta, Instagram Reels, and TikTok

  • Transform raw UGC and creator footage into engaging, conversion-focused ads

  • Apply text overlays, captions, sound design, and pacing aligned with platform best practices

  • Ensure content feels native to social feeds rather than overly produced


Creative Execution & Output

  • Deliver approximately 30–40 video ads per 2-week production cycle

  • Meet fixed production deadlines, with primary delivery timelines tied to weekly launch schedules

  • Maintain consistency in quality and output across all creatives

  • Balance speed and quality within a high-volume production workflow


Performance & Platform Optimization

  • Apply best practices for hooks, pacing, and engagement in short-form content

  • Edit for scroll-stopping impact and retention

  • Adapt content based on feedback and performance direction

  • Support ongoing creative testing through variations and iterations


Workflow & Collaboration

  • Submit edits for review and implement feedback efficiently

  • Communicate clearly on timelines, revisions, and deliverables

  • Work within a structured production system with defined cycles and deadlines

  • Maintain organized files and version control


Tools & Systems

  • Work primarily within VEED or similar cloud-based video editing tools

  • Provide input on tools and workflows if alternative solutions improve efficiency

  • Maintain a simple, scalable editing workflow aligned with production needs


Qualifications:

Required

  • Experience editing short-form video content for social media or paid ads

  • Strong understanding of UGC-style content and platform-native editing

  • Ability to produce high-volume output while maintaining quality

  • Strong attention to detail in captions, overlays, and audio

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines consistently in a production environment

  • Strong communication skills and ability to take feedback and iterate quickly

  • Portfolio showcasing short-form social or paid ad content


Preferred

  • Experience editing for Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, or paid social campaigns

  • Familiarity with VEED or other cloud-based editing tools

  • Experience working with UGC creators or influencer content

  • Understanding of performance-driven creative (hooks, retention, conversions)

  • Experience working in structured creative production workflows
