Job Title: Ecommerce Merchandising & Inventory Operations Specialist
Location: Remote
Work Shift: Mountain Standard Time (MST – Utah, US)
Working Hours: Part-time; 15-20 hours per week
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented E-commerce Merchandising & Inventory Operations Specialist to support and stabilize our core Shopify merchandising operations. This role is execution-heavy and hands-on, focused on inventory hygiene, PDP accuracy, and collection merchandising within a lean, fast-evolving DTC apparel environment. The position offers a clear growth path into a broader E-commerce Manager role as the business scales.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
- Conduct regular product inventory pulse checks and maintenance
- Review Active product inventory levels and set End-of-Life or Final Sale SKUs under 5 units to Draft
- Reference inventory and sales analytics to understand incoming inventory
- Coordinate with the Operations Manager on expected inventory ETAs populating in Shopify
- Ensure inventory expected to populate in Shopify does so correctly; troubleshoot discrepancies with Operations
- Review low-inventory SKUs with Operations and leadership to determine if products should move to Mystery Socks (MYS-TE-00ZT)
Product Detail Page (PDP) Management
- Create new PDPs for new products
- Edit existing PDPs, including:
- SKU or UPC updates per Operations Manager requests
- Price updates, primarily during sale periods
- Image updates
- Copy updates
- Use bundling apps to create and manage virtual pack PDPs
Collection Merchandising
- Review key collections and merchandise products based on product type (Core, End of Life, Final Sale) and inventory levels
- Prioritize Core products first, preferably packs
- Maintain key collection pages, including:
- Shop All
- Best Sellers
- Knee-High Compression
- Medium Compression
- Firm Compression
- Shop Womens
- Shop Mens
- Mix new seasonal products into the first two rows upon initial launch
- Display only 1–2 color variations per product in collections (avoid exploded variants)
- Feature the SKU with the highest inventory front and center
- Prioritize packs where possible
Qualifications
- Experience in Shopify-based DTC e-commerce merchandising
- Strong background in inventory management and SKU-level decision-making
- Hands-on experience creating and maintaining PDPs
- Familiarity with inventory and sales analytics tools
- Experience using bundling or virtual pack applications
- Highly detail-oriented with strong operational judgment
- Comfortable with repetitive, execution-driven work
- Able to work effectively within lean teams and evolving workflows
