Associate System Engineer

About the Role

Were looking for a motivated Associate System Engineer to help build, maintain, and optimize modern IT infrastructures. In this role, youll work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure stable, secure, and high-performing systems. Youll gain hands-on experience across a variety of technologies and contribute to delivering reliable, scalable solutions that support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage all installed systems and infrastructure according to established standards and procedures.

• Define and document business and technical requirements to guide system functionality.

• Support testing, validation, and deployment of new systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, application software, and management tools.

• Ensure optimal system uptime, capacity, and performance across environments.

• Execute and track warranty, patching, and support activities.

• Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements or automation opportunities.

• Provide technical guidance and assistance to IT support teams for complex incidents.

• Deploy and maintain network devices including firewalls, switches, and access points.

• Contribute to the development and integration of custom hardware and software solutions.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure quality, compliance, and timely delivery.

• Provide Level 2 support and contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing.

Required Profile & Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE), Cisco (CCNA), or CompTIA are an advantage.

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in IT systems or infrastructure support.

• Practical knowledge of:

  • Networking: Cisco or Sophos technologies

  • Servers: Windows or Linux environments

• Strong foundation in IT systems and infrastructure management.

• Proficiency with Active Directory administration.

• Basic understanding of backup and data protection solutions.

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, firewalls).

• Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python preferred).

• Experience in system reporting and documentation.

• Fluency in French and English (spoken and written).

• Valid drivers license required.
