About the job Accounts Manager
Overall Purpose
The Accounts Manager will:
- Ensure strong accounting and reporting practices, including overseeing and monitoring an effective control environment and providing sound financial advice to the management team.
- Prepare financial statements, budget reports, forecasts, cost analysis reports, and make appropriate financial recommendations.
- Monitor and provide financial analysis and support to the GCFO/GDCFO on business transactions and departmental performance.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage all accounting, financial reporting, analysis, and interpretation of operating financial data.
- Ensure all reports are prepared and communicated to the reporting line on a timely basis with complete and accurate figures.
- Manage teams to coordinate and deliver on internal and external reporting requirements, ensuring all deadlines and standards are met.
- Take ownership of the audit process by liaising with external auditors, providing necessary documentation in a timely manner, and preparing financial statements.
- Ensure all accounts are prepared in accordance with the latest accounting standards.

Monitor and ensure the accuracy of budgets and financial reporting.
- Ensure all financial statements are complete, accurate, and compliant with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and applicable industry standards.
- Monitor and enhance compliance controls, structures, and automated processes to ensure effective financial management and control.
- Assist in coordinating annual audit engagements with internal and external auditors to ensure audit requirements are met promptly.
- Lead, plan, coordinate, and manage the accounting team, including supporting the development of their skills and knowledge.
- Responsible for efficiently performing any other related duties as requested by the Head of Department.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience

ACCA or ACA Qualified
- At least 5 years of experience with a strong financial and technical accounting background

Experience in auditing is an advantage
