As our Integrated Services Specialist, you'll play a critical role in coordinating support services and ensuring that all students have access to meaningful education tailored to their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies aligned with the Waldorf curriculum, facilitating access to learning for all students, particularly those with diverse needs.
- Integrate therapeutic practices and accommodations into the classroom environment to support students academic and social-emotional development.
Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to provide cohesive support for students with various learning needs, ensuring that services are effectively coordinated.
- Lead meetings with parents and staff to discuss student progress, needed services, and case management for students requiring intensive support.
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Conduct assessments to identify student learning challenges and strengths, using data to inform instruction and intervention strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress through regular observations and assessments, providing updates to parents and the school team.
Classroom Management:
- Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and nurturing classroom environment that fosters a sense of belonging and community among all students.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies that encourage positive behavior, engagement, and a love of learning.
Professional Development:
- Stay current with best practices in special education, Waldorf methodologies, and inclusive teaching strategies through ongoing professional development.
- Participate in workshops, conferences, and relevant training sessions to enhance instructional strategies and approaches to serving students.

Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in special education, education, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, IEP processes, and best practices for supporting diverse learners.
- 2+ years of teaching experience, preferably in a special education or inclusive setting.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in special education, education, or a related field.
- A valid Colorado teaching license with an endorsement in special education.
- Experience or certification in Waldorf education.
