Job Overview
The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for supporting office staff and performing administrative tasks relating to warehouse activities, such as data entry on the Inventory Management System. This includes handling communication between warehouse management, relevant departments and freight companies on the phone, through email or in-person and managing their requests. 

Objectives of this Role
  • Achieve warehouse objectives by complying to Standard Operating Procedures
  • Optimize operational efficiency by quickly and accurately recording or posting of transactional entries and documentation for incoming and outgoing deliveries
  • Plan and co-ordinate the incoming / receiving, and outgoing / dispatch of goods in a timely and efficient manner to achieve the operational objectives 
  • Verifying and validating delivery documents 
  • Achieve organizational goals while upholding best practices
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by strictly complying and enforcing health & safety standards
Key Responsibilities
  • Processing goods receipts and delivery documents by accurately recording transactional entries on the Inventory Management System
  • Tracking and logging orders and deliveries 
  • Matching and processing receipts to purchase orders 
  • Processing delivery documents for order fulfilment 
  • Ensure stock corresponds with delivery documents such as invoices and/or delivery notes
  • Inspecting documentation and reporting any discrepancies to warehouse management and/or relevant departments
  • Inspects all orders being received to check for damage, defective and/or missing items to record discrepancies or losses
  • Plan and organise incoming deliveries 
  • Process system generated documents for outgoing deliveries
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders on purchase orders, sales orders, credit memo’s and stock checks
  • Handle queries and requests for system processing for incoming or outgoing orders
  • Track and process multiple incoming and outgoing orders at any given time
  • Reports any complaints about products, delivery speeds or damaged items to warehouse management 
  • Reports to warehouse management any issues with incoming or outgoing deliveries 
  • Communicates and cooperates with warehouse management, employees and relevant departments
  • Ensure documentation is signed and submitted according to policy
  • Maintain accurate records and data capturing 
  • Assist with general duties of the warehouses
  • Assist with receiving and / or dispatching when required
Qualifications and Experience 
  • Grade 12
  • Stock Management Diploma/Certificate
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience

  • Exhibits strong communication and interpersonal with the ability to communicate effectively 
  • Detailed oriented to notice errors or any defective aspects
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate under pressure to meet tight deadlines
