About the job Finance Business Partner

The Finance Business Partner plays a pivotal role in driving the organizations financial success by delivering timely insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and bridging the gap between finance and business strategy. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to retail management, business development, warehouse operations, and marketing to align financial goals with broader organizational objectives. Through financial analysis, planning, and performance monitoring, the Finance Business Partner fosters growth, operational excellence, and informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and conduct monthly variance analysis to identify performance gaps.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes in partnership with non-finance managers.

Commercial Performance & KPI Monitoring

  • Review commercial performance and identify key success drivers across business units.
  • Calculate and comment on monthly variances, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Produce monthly business performance packs, including dashboards and executive summaries.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to align financial goals with organizational strategy.
  • Provide finance and business support to retail management, business development, warehouse, and other operational staff.
  • Work closely with senior management to deliver financial insights that drive business strategy.

Operational Support & Decision Enablement

  • Support decision-making with accurate, timely financial information and actionable insights.
  • Partner with operational teams to enhance financial literacy and ownership of KPIs.
  • Contribute to ad hoc financial projects, including cost optimization, expansion analysis, and system upgrades.

Team Leadership & Other Duties

  • Manage the performance of assigned finance staff, including coaching and development.
  • Perform other finance-related tasks as assigned, supporting the broader finance function.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accountancy or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or a similar role. Prior experience in a finance business partnering role is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and reporting tools such as Microsoft excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills; ability to build trust with stakeholders; and a proactive problem-solver.
  • Exceptional ability to analyze large datasets and provide actionable insights.
