About the job Head of Procurement Department
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the company's procurement strategy aligned with business goals.

Lead procurement transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, cost control, and transparency.

Set annual procurement budgets, goals, KPIs, and performance metrics.

Provide strategic input to senior management on market trends, risks, and opportunities.
Oversee the full procurement cycle: planning, sourcing, evaluating, contracting, ordering, and receiving.

Ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of raw cashmere, yarn, dyes, chemicals, fabrics, equipment, and services.

Maintain accurate procurement forecasts and align with production, sales, and inventory requirements.

Implement standardized procurement policies, procedures, and control systems.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers both domestically and internationally.

Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery conditions.

Build long-term relationships with key suppliers and ensure optimal performance.

Monitor supplier compliance with quality, sustainability, and ethical sourcing standards.
Conduct regular cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost reduction.

Manage procurement risks including supply shortages, price volatility, and geopolitical disruptions.

Ensure diversification of supply sources to safeguard continuity.

Oversee tendering and competitive bidding processes.
Manage, mentor, and develop procurement staff to ensure high performance.

Allocate tasks, oversee workloads, and monitor performance against KPIs.

Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Ensure procurement activities align with internal policies, legal requirements, and international trade regulations.

Oversee documentation, contract management, and audit readiness.

Prepare periodic procurement reports for the executive team and board.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of procurement experience, ideally in manufacturing, textile, or FMCG sectors.

At least 3 - 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.

Experience in international sourcing, contracts, and supplier negotiations.
Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Advanced understanding of supply chain management and procurement best practices.
